Tom Collucci
Tom has spent his entire career in the operations departments for fast
growing and dynamic companies. 1-800-FLOWERS, MSC Industrial Direct and Haier America were three companies where he spent time. At
1-800-FLOWERS he worked in retail operations during a time of
tremendous growth. His responsibilities included developing corporate
wide projections for the holiday seasons. He was also tasked with
developing a computer program to run the company owned stores. This
system managed the day to day operations of the store and was used to
increase the efficiency of the store teams. If any of you have worked
or even visited a florist on Valentine’s™ day or Mother’s™ day you will
understand how important it is to get the right product to the right
place at the right time. To this day he still has an aversion to
Gerbera Daisies.
After leaving 1-800-FLOWERS, he began working in purchasing and
continued in that field for MSC Industrial Direct as a Corporate
Purchasing Manager. His time at Haier America was spent as the
operational go to guy. He was responsible for a variety of departments
including Return Authorizations, Billing, Purchasing and Inventory
Control. He was also part of the team that opened up a 500,000 square
foot warehouse with over $80 million worth of inventory.
Solar power has always intrigued Tom and he utilized the last several
months to form a solar installation company. While forming that
company he had the opportunity to work with Delaware Renewable. That
working relationship has evolved and allowed Tom to join up with DREC.
He expects great things from the industry and the company.
When not helping to build this company, Tom enjoys spending time with
his 4 children. Baseball, rugby and soccer are a few of the sports
that he likes to participate in as well as watch. He is an avid reader
and spent several years reading through a variety of medieval books.
Over the last several years he has focused his reading on science
fiction and American history.
